About me

I’m a bargain loving, sale shopping, eating, drinking, untidy optimist with a passion for food, shoes, travel and tattoos.

  • I think about food approximately every 6 seconds, and love eating out at new restaurants and trying new cuisines.
  • My shoe collection is ever expanding, not helped by the fact I can’t resist a discount email “just out of curiosity” and as such have far too many deliveries from online retailers!
  • I’m trying to travel the world, albeit slowly, via a mix of city breaks, UK days out, beach holidays and long haul trips.
  • I think tattoos are a beautiful individual expression and love them in both historical and modern contexts.

Other interests include growing pretties on my balcony, reading (an eclectic mix of fluff and biographies), live music (watching, not playing) and healthy cooking.

I have opinions on lots of things – some frivolous, some deep – but all personal to me, and likely to change on a fairly regular basis!

I like to have fun, not take life too seriously and generally get as much enjoyment out of this too short a life as I can.

I would relish the opportunity to work in collaboration with companies or other bloggers, so please do get in touch! My email address is thistattandtheother.com

Fun read! My shoe collection has shoved my husband out of our closet and into the guest room closet (well, not /him/ personally, but his clothes…) I’m also a fan of tattoos, have four myself and contemplating a fifth, even though apparently according to young people, older people with tattoos is “gross”! Looking forward to hearing more of your opinions.

Thank you for stopping by, and for your kind words.

Well I’d rather see a tattooed older person than a boring one, that’s for sure! I’m planning some more too, although I do find they hurt more as I get older, so not looking forward to that!
